Upgraded facilities and technology will enable us to respond more effectively to emergencies, provide more innovative training, and foster a stronger connection with the community, ensuring our beach remains safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Key features of the new building include:

  • Fit-for-purpose lifesaving patrol areas including a modern patrol room and first aid room, and adequate equipment storage.
  • Sufficient equipment storage to support more than 800 Nippers (our junior lifesavers-in-training) and 350 active patrolling members, and train an average of 80 new lifesavers annually.
  • Purpose-built Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) storage and workshop.
  • Balance of female to male amenities, and new family change rooms and accessible facilities.
  • Modern multi-purpose space for training, meetings and events.
  • Upgraded gymnasium and kiosk.
  • New administrative and merchandise spaces to deliver club operations.
  • New public parkland as part of the building’s rooftop garden.
  • Lifeguard and Council facilities, public amenities and the promenade will also be upgraded in conjunction with the clubhouse redevelopment.
