Skills Maintenance (Proficiency)


We are pleased to announce the Skills Maintenance dates and process. Each Patrol Team and Nipper's water safety have assigned dates. Reserve Active, Life Member, Long Service, Honorary Member (RA/LM/LS/HM), and others can join any session. ART holders can attend a skills maintenance session on the same day as their ART course. If you can't attend your assigned session, choose another, but it may be full. We'll confirm availability. With a hot summer ahead, skills maintenance will be early to ensure proficiency. All members with a Surf Rescue Certificate, Bronze Medallion, or ART must complete a session covering theory and wet skills. Be ready to get in the water and complete your online work before your session.

What to bring: 

  • Swimmers (wetsuits are also welcome!)
  • Goggles & Cap
  • Hi Vis (if you have it)
  • Towel
  • Drink Bottle, Hat & Sunscreen
  • Warm clothes to change into
