Bronte's Competition training focus for this season
This season the Club has refocused it’s effort to upskilling and training of our Patrol Members, with the aim of increasing the Clubs aquatic rescue capabilities, and equally offering the opportunity for training sessions for all Members rather than just Competitors. We now have a seen a rapid change in both skills and fitness on Boards among those members who have been training, and we actively encourage any Active members to join the WhatsApp group for days / time of these sessions.
As a general rule, these sessions run every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 5.50am (6.00 in the water ) and go for 45-50 minutes. In addition, we run a social paddle session for all Actives on Sunday afternoon at 4.00pm, where the session can be anything from practising rescues as a Team through to doing a group paddle to Bondi and back. After paddle, people are most welcome to come upstairs for Sunday Sips as a reward!
For those keen on taking their training to the Surf Sports arena, we encourage you to email Victoria who will add you to the Competitor database and you will be included in all correspondence here going forward with regards to all upcoming Carnivals etc
For those keen on the Champion Lifesaver and the Pool Rescue carnivals and training, your best contact is Max Gonzales who has been coaching at the highest level, and would love to help you represent Bronte SLSC in these area’s.
