The renewed focus to start each Patrol with the simple yet effective Patrol team OPS briefing, when combined with the Pre season Skills update training encouraging PC/VCs to run their own structured Proficiency, appears to be reaping rewards with very positive feed back from Members & District Inspectors. Branch has commented on how impressed they were with the conduct and engagement of the members when observing some of the individual Patrol run proficiency.
As Patrols identify where they are at, I applaud those who have adopted this simple hands on team building approach and those who are subsequently making use of regular, at the tent, or scheduled drop in training we are now offering to ALL members across the board. I encourage the Clubs LifeSaving community to support and assist where possible as we ramp this Rescue Ready focus up over the seasons across the Club.
Our aim is to ensure that all members are always included, supported and encouraged to develop and refine their Lifesaving capabilities whilst having quite a bit of fun along the way.
